This multi-level class is designed for anyone who is familiar with the basic foundations of yoga—regardless of body type, age, fitness, or activity level. Rooted in the guiding principles of yoga and the Kripalu tradition of compassion, it honours the heart of yogic self-inquiry while respecting each participant’s body-wisdom and unique way of expressing the practice.

Classes may include:

  • Classic yoga postures (asanas)

  • Breathwork (pranayama)

  • Practices for cultivating a quiet, steady mind (meditation)

  • Deep relaxation techniques

While movement, strength, balance, and flexibility are valuable, yoga is not about perfect poses or precise alignment of toes, hips, or shoulders. It is an invitation to explore your inner landscape with curiosity—to notice what you need, to move in ways that support you, and to gently uncover what brings more ease and joy into daily life.

A well-balanced practice nourishes the whole person, reflecting the five koshas (body layers) described in yogic and Ayurvedic traditions: the physical, energetic, mental/emotional, wisdom, and bliss bodies.

This series is offered in small, supportive groups. Each program runs for a set number of weeks, based on the calendar, and is available both in-person at the studio and online from the comfort of your home.

If you are new to yoga, a one-on-one session with Jo-Ann is recommended to help you feel at ease with foundational movements and breathing practices.
